
KIRK ORAHOOD , USPTA Pro
Kirk Orahood has been teaching tennis in Orange County, CA for 25+ years; formerly at Mesa
Verde CC in Costa Mesa for 16 years; before helping open a golf/tennis resort in the Telluride, CO area. Kirk has a large
contingent of former graduates who played collegiate tennis across the country, and has traveled to Wimbledon with one of
two of his ATP protégés. He knows what it takes to literally, "get to the next level". Several of
Kirk's former students are now themselves, USPTA tennis professionals.
Having a son [5 sport high school letterman]
and a daughter, both division 1 scholarship athletes, Kirk has had the opportunity to coach other sports and believes that
the parallels among these sports, has helped his success with all of his students. He enjoys working with all ages and levels;
there is no age or ability limit, as far as Kirk is concerned. In addition to regular lessons and clinics, Kirk is the tennis
director/coach at JSerra Catholic High School in South Orange County. Kirk also runs weekly "Quick Start" clinics
for kids as young as 4 yrs old, and assists international coach Vic Braden in his "Junior Ambassador Program".
Most
importantly, Kirk is very happy being chosen to represent West Meade Swim & Tennis Club family in the role as head tennis
